Ms. Belinda is originally from Ohio but grew up in California. As a wife and mother to four sons, she is thankful she had the opportunity to be a part of the 40 Over 40 photo session.

“This was something I have always wanted to do,” she explained. “It exceeded my expectations. It was fun—not stiff. My favorite part was laughing. It made me feel beautiful and sexy.”

In her day-to-day life, the now East Texan works as a returns clerk for one store but also trains for the entire district. Belinda counts God, her husband, and her kids, three of whom are severely autistic, as her greatest loves.

“(I am most passionate) about caring for others,” she explained, “(and my greatest achievement is) my sons. (I want people to describe me as) loving and hard-working.”

While Ms. Belinda, 53, says weight has been a lifelong struggle, she considers her eyes to be her favorite physical trait and her ability to make friends as one of her best personality strengths.

“I was always taught you have to love yourself no matter what,” she said.

Ms. Belinda, who also has three brothers, says she felt her most attractive in her mid-twenties and now. She is also looking forward to what the days ahead will bring.

“(My ambitions for the future) are to retire and be with my family.”
