Ms. Karen, a vibrant 51-year-old Texarkana native and Broker/Owner of NextHome Realty Advisors, recently participated in the 40 Over 40 Portrait Experience. Here’s a glimpse into her inspiring journey:

 

“For me and my husband,” Ms. Karen says, reflecting on why she joined the 40 Over 40 portrait experience. “Photos capture a moment in time you will never get back. We aren’t getting any younger, and I wanted to have something he & I could always look back on.”

 

During the session, Ms. Karen experienced a delightful surprise when her husband unexpectedly appeared to make sure she was safe. “It will forever be an unforgettable loving moment,” she said.

 

The experience left a lasting impact on Karen. “I felt like a supermodel!” she exclaims. “You did an amazing job, and consequently, the photos turned out amazing.”

 

Ms. Karen’s life philosophy revolves around seizing opportunities and facing challenges head-on. For instance, she shares, “Many years ago, my mother told me that I can and will be anything I want to be.” Furthermore, “my loving husband gives me all the courage to do these things.”

 

Family holds a special place in Ms. Karen’s heart, especially her husband Lee, her children Aaron & Lauren, and her beloved grandsons Elijah & Elliot.

 

When asked about herself, Ms. Karen proudly shares a fun fact: she once jumped from the Stratosphere in Las Vegas and survived!

 

Her advice for her younger self is simple: “Don’t be scared to do it, Just do it!! It will all work out the way you planned!”

 

Ms. Karen’s greatest achievement is raising her children to be exceptional adults.

 

Looking ahead, Ms. Karen aspires to continue growing her brokerage and improving herself physically & mentally.

 

She believes her generation is characterized by resilience and determination. For example, “Just tell us we can’t. On the contrary, we will show you we can,” she said.

 

Ms. Karen’s top priorities in life are to live, laugh, and love unconditionally.

 

Reflecting on beauty, Karen shares, “Being attractive is about being the most beautiful person you can be on the inside and let it overflow to the outside.”
