Meet Ms. Heather, a lively 45-year-old funeral director from Pittsburg, sharing her experience with the 40 Over 40 portrait experience.

 

Heather’s ‘Why’ for participating in the 40 Over 40 Portrait Experience

“I wanted to do something for myself for a change,” the mother of four said. “Rhonda makes you feel like the most beautiful woman on earth. I enjoyed everything LOL!” In fact, it was during the photo shoot that Heather said she felt her most attractive.

Married to Gary, her family also includes son, Jonathan, and daughters, Brianna, Destiny and Garyn. She counts her family as her greatest loves and offers this advice to other mothers. “Never give up and do not question your maternal instinct,” she said.

Heather, who has traveling to Hawaii on her bucket list, also trusted her other instincts when she chose her career path.

 

Her Greatest Accomplishment

Heather said, “My greatest accomplishment is going to school and becoming a funeral director.  It has been a very rewarding job. I enjoy helping families during their time of need.”

A fun fact about Heather, 45, is that she loves to sing and she also has a powerful motto she lives by in life.  “Let your light shine no matter how dim the situation is,” she said.

If she could change one thing about herself, she says it would be her weight. 

 

Her Advice

Describing herself as caring and compassionate, Heather also offers this advice to her 20-something self and looks ahead to the future. “You can achieve anything you set your mind to,” she said. “(My own future ambition is) to be the best woman I can be. 

My top three life priorities are health, love and hoping that my dash is everything I want it to be.”

 

Customizing Your Session

Unfortunately, Heather had recently lost her father before her session and wanted to incorporate his memory into a portrait.  She was very happy with the portrait we created for her. Ms. Heather’s portrait experience becomes a charming celebration of authenticity, showing that in simplicity, we find the true essence of beauty.
