Ms. Bree wanted to mark the success of her gastric sleeve surgery and the loss of 150 lbs. in a very special way. Ms. Bree’s 40 Over 40 Portrait Experience was the perfect opportunity to celebrate this milestone.

“It was amazing and fulfilled my expectations,” she said. “My favorite part of Ms. Bree’s 40 Over 40 Portrait Experience was having someone take care of me for once.”

While the Pittsburg wife and mother of five is used to caring for her family, she also cares for others on a daily basis as part of her job.

“As an administrative assistant/advisor, I mentor college students which is very rewarding,” she explained.

A fun fact about the college employee is that she is also a bartender. She also subscribes to this motto: “Live in the moment like it’s the last.”

And Ms. Bree, now 47, would offer this advice to her 20-something self.

“Make yourself happy and not always others.”

She also has simple advice for the younger mother she once was.
“Pick your battles.”

Ms. Bree, who picked her eyes and personality as her favorite traits, would like to be described as someone who loves people right where they are.

“I feel most confident probably right now just because I know God also loves me right where I am.”
